34 Weeks

We're getting closer!

I've been busy trying to get things ready for Addison's arrival! I still have quite a few things to do...but I guess we get done what can get done!

We have a doctors appointment on Friday. I think after this one I'll have to start going every week until she's born. I'm hoping they'll have some late afternoon appointments so I don't have to take any more days off from work.

One of the things that I've done was put the swing together. I can't wait to put her in it :)

Today I'm going to try to put the pack n' play together. I might also try to finish cleaning the car so we can install the car seat and put the window shades up. 

There's so much to do!!!! So little time!!!! 

Of course Brian has been working like crazy again. He's going to have to have off this coming Sunday though because we are getting our maternity pictures done! Hopefully I don't look like a beached whale lol 

Anyway...here's the picture from 34 weeks...I was lazy and didn't do a board this week.

33 Weeks- Merry Christmas!

It's almost Christmas!

Brian and I were trying to get into the Christmas spirit this year...we were struggling a bit. Brian has been so busy this year that we haven't had a lot of time to do Christmas stuff. I finally convinced him to bring the tree down from the attic. I didn't put all the stuff I normally put on there, but we at least have a tree now!

I went to the doctors from my 33 week check up. I also had an ultrasound to check her heart. They didn't get good images when we had her 20 week anatomy scan. All is well with her heart! We also found out that she is going to take after her mom & dad's long legs! She's in the 80th percentile for the length of her legs and arms! I wonder how tall she'll be when she grows up...

32 Weeks

Busy!

That pretty much sums up life lately.

Brian has been working every day. He had a forced day off on Saturday which was great! We got some shopping done. Then he treated me to a prenatal massage, got Addison The Elf on the Shelf, and then took me to a movie! I was spoiled that day...and Addison is going to be spoiled by him too!

He's going to be such a great daddy :)

This week we have 2 child birthing classes. Yesterday's class was a little gross. I saw lots of pictures of other people that I never wanted to see....but I guess you have to be informed! Tomorrow night is our last class, thank goodness. We are exhausted!

I have 2 weeks off starting Saturday. Hopefully I can get most of the last minute things done before she comes. But I don't think we will ever be completely "ready". I'm hoping Brian will stop working on the weekends at the end of December and he can help me with some of the things I can't do. Plus, I want to spend some time with him before Addison comes :)

30ish & 31 weeks

 Life is getting busy!

I guess we better get use to it :)

We went up to Jersey for Thanksgiving and we had our baby shower while we were up there. It was beautiful! My family had it at Olive Garden for us- can I say spoiled?! Really! They went way above and beyond!

This weekend, while Brian has been working his tail off, I've been working in Addison's room. I've been going through her gifts. Mainly, I wanted to start getting the clothes organized. She has more clothes than I do!

Her room is still a mess, but maybe next weekend I'll have it mostly together....maybe....lol

We started our child birthing classes this week. We have 3 more to go. I'm not completely terrified yet...but there are 3 more sessions to go!

Oh! I forgot! While we were up in NJ we had a 3D/4D ultrasound. It was SO COOL! It was really special to have most of my immediate family there to see her dancing around in my belly :)

I think we all have agreed that she has Brian's nose :) It's such a cute one too :)

The coolest thing for me was being able to see what I've been feeling in my belly. She's starting to run out of room in there, but she's still rolling around!

29 1/2 weeks

I'm late.

Again.

Brian was working all weekend, so I didn't get a chance to get our picture done.

I passed my 3 hour glucose test! Yey! No gestational diabetes!

We are heading up to NJ for Thanksgiving. We are looking forward to our 3D/4D ultrasound with our family and looking forward to the baby shower! It'll be a special Thanksgiving this year :)

But, I'm tired and my brain needs some rest. So onto the picture for this week!

28 weeks...ish

I'm late.

Brian and I were busy putting a puzzle together on Sunday and I totally forgot to do our photo.

Then Monday was busy. I went to the chiropractor to try to help the pain in my hip. Tuesday I just forgot and I was super tired.

I still didn't do the board, but I did take a picture this morning!

I got a call on Monday that I failed my 1st gestational diabetes test. So, I have to go on Friday for the 3 hour test. I'm really not looking forward to it because Brian has to work and I'll be going by myself :/

I also found out that I'm iron deficient. I now have to take iron pills 2x a day. Hopefully it'll help with my lack of energy.

Anyway...I feel like my belly is really starting to get large! Addison is just growing like crazy!

27 Weeks!

We are in the last week of the 2nd trimester! We're getting close! EEeeek!!

My legs and feet are getting tired faster. I'm sure it's partly because I'm getting further into my pregnancy, but I've also gained a bunch of weight! I won't share, it's too embarrassing! I just hope after Addison is born, I'll have the motivation to get back into shape. Not being able to afford a gym membership is definitely going to put a damper on that aspect....especially having a baby in the dead of winter!

Anyway...we have our next doctors appointment on Friday. We have our glucose testing (for real) this time. Hopefully I can eat somewhat well this week and pass that test!

She's still kicking around like crazy! Brian and I woke up at 4am one day this week and he got to feel her kicking around. He said that it felt like she was running a race in my tummy! Sometimes she gets really crazy in there! I wonder if that's any indication of what she's going to be like outside of my tummy....

26 Weeks!

It was a busy weekend & week so far!

We put the crib together on Sunday and barely had enough time to do grocery shopping. Monday we had our breastfeeding class...so we finally had time yesterday to take a quick picture!

I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving! We get to see our family, get to have our 3D/4D ultrasound, and it's baby shower time!!!

Anyway...Addison seems to be doing well...she's kicking away!

25 Weeks

I just saw my whole stomach do the wave as baby girl was moving around....it's so cool!

We have a name!

Addison Marie Wilson :)

We had be talking about the name Addison and I really liked it. Brian did too, but he sat on it for a while. This past week we talked about middle names to see if that would solidify it. We finally agreed on Addison Marie!

I've been super tired this week...my body is trying to fight off getting a cold...I think with that and the Addison growing...it makes for one tired mama!

24 weeks!

24 weeks! I like the number 24...it's my 2nd favorite number!

We had a doctors appointment on Friday. I thought I was having the glucose test, but I guess I'm having it next time! It was just a regular old appointment. Baby is still doing great! 

I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable at times. My belly is stretching and growing. I'm also having some pains in my ribs when I sit down too long. I know I have 16 more weeks to go...so I better not start complaining now! 

I've pretty much decided on a name, but Brian isn't ready to commit to it yet. I really wish he was! I love the name that we have been talking about!

23 Weeks!

I almost posted yesterday.

Then I realized that I put 22 weeks on the board...and my hair was a hot mess...so we decided to do a redo today!

Some of my family has pitched in to get our crib! It's been ordered and it's on it's way! Yey!!

We have another doctors appointment this Friday. I think this might be the glucose testing?...but I'm not positive.

I'm super tired and really looking forward to relaxing...so I'm keeping this one short and sweet!

Overwhelmed

Is it normal to start feeling completely overwhelmed at this point in pregnancy?

I'm about 4 months away from meeting my little girl and I'm starting to freak out a bit!

I have the normal stress from work, well maybe a little more than usual this year....but now I'm stressing about the baby after she's born.

I'm/We are trying to figure out:
Babysitter
Maternity Leave-HR isn't very helpful
When we are ever going to start the baby room
How we are going to fit all this baby stuff in our small townhouse
Baby's name
Baby Budget

Maternity leave is the biggie right now. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth using up all my sick time and take some unpaid time off or if we can even afford it. Or do I really just need to go back to work after 6 weeks so I can have some sick time for the rest of the school year just in case (even though I'll be heartbroken to go back after 6 weeks).

I'm finding myself sighing a lot lately.

And on top of it all, Brian has been working nights and I've barely been able to spend any time with him. I cried the other morning when he said he wouldn't be home in enough time for me to see him before I left for work.

I've been pretty level headed so far, but I'm really starting think I'm losing it all!

Sigh.

22 Weeks

Nothing too exciting going on!

Brian has been working night shift the last few days. I think I'm having some really weird dreams since he's not in the bed with me. My dream last night was about me killing aliens and they wouldn't die...

One of my college roomies came down from D.C. for the weekend. We had a lot of fun! We did our annual pumpkin picking and mini golfing. I think I forgot to get a picture of me picking my pumpkin...it was soooo hot!

21 Weeks...

Brian says I still don't look pregnant. I think he's blind.

I'm starting to feel pregnant! My belly is starting to get in the way.

We registered this weekend...twice! The lost everything the first time registered. But we are registered now!

Baby girl is moving around like crazy! Brain got to feel her move this weekend!

The bump is growing!

20 Weeks!

It's a girl!

We were both quite shocked. We had it in our minds that it was going to be a boy. She will be loved just the same, though :)

Last night we bought a pack n' play, high chair, stroller, swing, and a monitor. Babies 'R Us had a coupon for 20% off...so we couldn't resist! We went with a turquoise color scheme. I know it's not a girly color, but neither of us like the whole pink thing. We can always accent with girly colors! Plus, if we have another baby in the future, we thought turquoise was a gender neutral color.

Anyway...baby is about the size of a banana! I can't believe how big she is already! The first 20 weeks went fast, and I'm sure the next 20 weeks are going to go fast!

The ultrasound went great! She looks like she growing just fine!

I still don't think I look like my bump has grown much, but I'm sure it will start popping out more soon!

Brian is still working like crazy...so don't mind my crappy picture! 

19 Weeks!

We find out Friday if the baby is a boy or a girl!!! Ahhhhh!!!

Can you tell how excited I am???

I hope the baby cooperates!

My bestie is having a girl! I'm super happy for her and her hubs!

Speaking of hubbies...mine has been working for 2 weeks straight. Poor guy! So I had to get inventive about how I was going to take this weeks picture. I put at tv tray on top of our dining room table. It worked! Brian takes better pictures, but I don't want to bother him with taking a picture when he gets home.

A few people have asked me about cravings. I haven't had any specific cravings, but I keep going back to buffalo...anything really! Right now I have some buffalo chicken in the crock pot for lunch this week. It smells sooooo good! I want to eat it right now!!!

I've finally realized that what I thought was the baby moving was really the baby! I think I actually started to feel the baby around 16 weeks, which is a little early for first time moms. I specifically remember being in a meeting teacher work week and feeling the baby kick! It's so neat!

18 weeks

I'm late again.

Forgive me!

Brian was working all weekend so I couldn't take the picture yesterday. I told myself I would do it today after work, but I went for a walk with my friend and knew I wouldn't be looking too good ;) I had Maria take a picture of me before our walk.

Since I didn't do a board this week this is what's going on with the baby this week:
*Baby is the size of a sweet potato
*It's about 5.6 inches long and 6.7 ounces

I don't think there's a lot of change going on....I think now that I'm more active at work I'm not packing on the pounds like I was! I'm getting some people saying that I don't look pregnant and some saying "ooooh! look at your bump!" So, I'm not sure which to believe! 

11 more days until we (hopefully) find out if baby is a boy or a girl!!!

9 weeks vs. 18 weeks!

17 weeks

I'm a day late and a dollar short. Sorry!

I went back to work this past week. We didn't have kids yet, but let me tell you, I was exhausted!!!!! I can only imagine what this week/month is going to be like. Going back to work is always exhausting, but carrying a baby too is just too much!

We are getting excited about our next ultrasound...18 more days until we find out if Baby Wilson is a boy or a girl!

Brian and I did scope out Babies-R-Us this weekend. We wanted to walk around a bit so that we don't get so overwhelmed when we go to register. I even got Brian to push a stroller around...it was too cute!

Anyway, onto the pictures!

16 weeks!

It was a busy weekend here! My dad and step mom came to visit. We visited a few museums and enjoyed each others company.

I found out, not this week, but last week, that our Down Syndrome blood work was all within normal limits. Phew!

We had a doctors appointment this past Friday. Dad and Cindy were about to come and they heard the heart beat too! It was about 160 beats per minute. I just think it's the coolest thing to hear the heartbeat, and it's reassuring too! We had some more blood work done to scan for other complications like spina bifida. The doctor said that no news is good news, so I hope not to get a phone call!

We also set our appointment for our 20 weeks ultrasound! We get to see (hopefully) if the baby is a boy or a girl on September 20th! We can't wait!

I think I'm looking a little more rounded and not so much pudgy! I'll take it! The doctor also measured my bump and said I was right on track with the size!

I'm heading back to work tomorrow...hopefully I'll have the energy to keep going all day!

15 weeks!

15 weeks...that feels a lot closer to 20 weeks....which is when we find out what we are having!!! I can't wait!

We have some more blood tests this Friday, but I'm hoping to hear the heart beat during our visit. It was super cool to hear it the last time! My dad and stepmom will be in town, so I'm hoping they will be able to hear it too.

The visit with my mom was wonderful and too short! We had a blast together! I wish we lived closer especially since this is her first grand baby!

On another note...I feel like I'm gaining too much weight too fast. My guess is that I've probably gain 3-5 pounds more than I should have at this point. I keep telling myself that prepregnancy I always gained weight in the summer. So, I'm hoping going to back to work and keeping busy will slow down the weight gain a little bit.

Speaking to the above, I think this is why my belly is probably looking a little bigger than it should right now...but oh well. I'm not going to fret over it too much. I have two photos this week...I changed it up a little.

Before you look....don't judge that I put the wrong fruit comparison on there...it should be an orange....we already did the peach...seriously! Baby brain is getting the best of me!

2nd Trimester!

We've made it to the safe zone!! 14 weeks!! 2nd Trimester!!! Woooo!!

My mom is here for the week, and I couldn't be happier about it! We are going to start cleaning out what will be the baby's room and go shopping for some maternity clothes.

I probably could have made it a few more weeks in regular clothes, but I haven't been eating that great so things are a little more snug. I'm going to push myself for the next 2 weeks to eat better before I go see the doc again.

13 Weeks!

Since our ultra sound on Friday, our pregnancy is feeling more real! I can't wait for week 20 when we get to find out the gender!!

I'm making more and more phone calls to tell the family. As soon as I get a chance to tell my boss, we will probably go public!

I've been doing some browsing for our registry and I've found some cool things. One was the baby brezza which helps cook and puree homemade baby food. The other was a baby monitor that works through movement. If the baby doesn't more for more than 20 seconds, the alarm goes off. I think both of those items will be on our list!

Down Syndrome Ultra Sound

The ultra sound went great! They said the baby looks great and is right on target! We are just waiting on the blood tests to come back. I couldn't bring myself to prick myself...

I'm just super excited that the baby is growing and well! We even got to hear the heart beat today :)

Here he or she is...!

I had no idea that we were going to get treated to seeing our baby in 3D! It was sooo cool! He/she wasn't cooperating to capture its little face though...little babe was hiding behind its arm. 

It was still super cool to see the little heart beating and little babe squirming around! Although at one point he/she wasn't cooperating. I had to lay on my side for a bit get him to move! Luckily we got things all worked out :) 

I can't wait for our next ultra sound at 20 weeks! We'll find out if we are having a boy or a girl! The hubs and I both are leaning towards a boy...but we will take healthy! 

12 weeks!

I'm really anxious for this Friday! We have our next ultrasound to check for down syndrome. I'm hoping and praying that everything goes well.

I'm still a bit fatigued, but it's getting better. The most annoying thing this week is that I've bought nectarines several times this week, and people at the grocery store don't know how to pack them up! So my craving for nectarines has not been satisfied this week! I guess if that's my biggest annoyance, I'm doing pretty well :)

So, at 12 weeks they say you might start "showing". I still don't think I look pregnant, but I can see some changes happening. I think I just look chubby at this point, but I guess that's the price you have to pay to get to the bump!

This week I'm going to compare this weeks to the first week....which was 8 weeks I think...so about a month has passed!

Not a huge change, but I think it's getting a little more rounded! It probably doesn't help that my tummy wasn't exactly it the best of shape when our journey started....but we can't worry about that now!

11 Weeks

Not much has changed in the last week.

I thought I was feeling like I had more energy. I went to the pool with my friend on Thursday, so I missed my afternoon nap. I was passed out on the couch by 7:30/8! I guess I'm not quite on the upside of the fatigue...

I don't feel like there is much change in the growth of the belly. I'll do another comparison to see if there's been change...

I don't see much change. They say that you can start to see real changes around 12 weeks...so we shall see with next weeks picture! 

10 Weeks!

Today is 10 weeks! We've made it to the double digits!

This week we scheduled the Down syndrome testing (or maybe it was last week...) for August 2nd. Forgive my baby brain. I can't wait to see the baby again! I hope everything is going well inside this tummy of mine.

This week I've been craving nectarines and chocolate milk. Not both at the same time, though.

I want to do a comparison of this week and last week's belly. I already posted the 1st one.

I think it's slightly bigger! I hope because of the babe, not because of eating habits! I've been more conscience of eating healthy this week. 

My clothing are certainly getting tighter. I keep reading and I've heard that 16 weeks is the magic number for needing maternity clothes, but I don't think I'm going to make it until then! 

My mom is coming in August and we are going to go clothes shopping then. I'm not sure I can last 4 more weeks...but we shall see! I'm digging through the closet to make it last!
